Today’s sermon, “Salt in Real Life,” by Pastor Carmen asked us to be salt for each other (Matthew 5:13). Using three stories from Paul’s journey to Northern Greece (Philippi, Thessalonica, and Berea), we saw how Paul was sent like “sprinkled salt” of the good news, but he also received “healing salt” from the God-fearing communities where he visited (Acts 16 and 17). At JSMC we want to be each other’s salt. We want to be a community with low barriers but with high expectations. With the suffering Jesus at our Center, we will!
